ALEX and Joe begin having an Internet affair, and become cyber lovers. Alex keeps her lover a secret, as she begins to change her life focusing on the attention she gets from Joe. When he begins calling her they develop an intimate relationship. As in the real world its not always smooth sailing, they fight and jealously creeps into the relationship creating many ups and downs. Alex wishes to move the relationship they have out of cyberspace into the real world. When her computer crashes and she can't communicate with Joe, she panics and makes a decision to go to New York City to meet him. When she writes Joe of her plans he is mysteriously quiet.
During one of the many cooling off periods, Alex meets Andrew, another sweet and shy man who needs some company in the chat room. Andrew and Alex hit it off so Alex shares her feelings about Joe and tells Andrew about her plan to go to New York City.
